Apr. 6--Despite an upturn in the advertising industry, Dentsu Young & Rubicam Co (DY&R) has made a conservative projection of earnings this year.
At worst, the company expects billings for the year of two billion baht, the same as last year, or most likely increase by 2-3 percent if the business environment is favourable.
The company is cautious about a 20-30 percent jump in billings in the first quarter of this year when it signed up 10 new clients who contributed a total of between 300 million and 400 million baht, according to DYR managing director Malaitip Khunwattana.
